Durability

Steel is non-combustible, so it structurally withstands fires rather than fueling a fire like a wood structure will. Steel also offers much higher degradation resistance than wood and if there is a water leak, the steel frame will not rot. Steel-reinforced floors and ceilings will also not warp or bend over time. Pests cannot penetrate steel, meaning you can save on pest control expenses over time.

Properly maintained steel frames can endure for generations without needing replacement. It can support more weight than wood, making it a good option for Southeast Idaho and our harsh snowy winters. Because steel better withstands natural disasters, fires and floods, insurance companies may even offer lower insurance rates for steel buildings!

Because steel is so strong, our buildings are able to facilitate a large free-span allowing for much larger open spaces than a wood structure. Steel buildings are also capable of having taller ceilings! While there are some restrictions on roof design and the overall look of steel buildings, we are able to accommodate many of the custom details our customers are looking for.
